MDF is not good for floating. It absorbs too much water and sinks. If the Titanic had furniture from Ikea, the whole thing would have sunk quicker and Rose would have not have lived.

So what you’re saying is that IKEA is probably 60 ft. UNDER the Verrazano bridge — or — the Sweedish Meatballs kept it floating straight out to sea, perchance? —BP

Those meatballs may be more dense than wet MDF. They will be discovered a hundred years from now when they are dredged up to maintain the waterways.
