My son shared his cough with me.
In between hacks, I have been trying to set up a bootable hard drive using a tutorial I found on the NAPP site.
It wasn’t working until I realized the mistake. They never mentioned that the install disk needs to be inserted into your computer before you start up whilst holding the C key.
Snow Leopard is installing now.

I wrote this blurb tonight in a message to a new friend. Sometimes I feel as if things shared in private messages should stay that-private. But I wanted to share this:
“Regarding love: Seeing that God is love, and God dwells within us, I think he has given us an innate ability to know love and…
spring has finally come to Florida.
It’s only about 6 weeks late. And I am a bit sad that I no longer need a jacket.
I am forced to use a purse again.
I bought a cherry pie. Between my dad and I, it was gone in 2 days.
Then I began my diet.
Again.
My dad wanted more pie. I told him to get anything BUT cherry or apple or coconut cream. I need no temptations to be cheat.
Today he came home with a cherry pie.
He said, “I wanted to buy a coconut cream pie but they didn’t have any.”
He wants me to stay fat while he shrinks to nothing.
St. Patrick’s Day
Gail & I were going to get married. We were going to take a bike tour through Ireland and elope.
But he went and told his friends & family so fate intervened. I got pregnant.
The baby would come before the bike trip. No trip to Ireland.
When to get married?
Gail suggested my birthday. I said NO. It was “my day” and if we split up, I didn’t want a reason to be depressed on my birthday. No, not a pessimist but Gail had been married twice. The odds were not good.
I suggested St. Patrick’s Day. Gail would always want to celebrate on that day. I also suggested a civil ceremony since Gail didn’t want to go through another annulment.
St. Patrick’s Day in 1997 was on a Monday. The local courts only performed weddings on Tuesdays. I found a “minister” in the yellow pages, ABC Weddings. I was 7 and a half months pregnant.
Gail always loved a party and invited everyone. We ordered a “big sandwich” and my mom ordered a cake.
It wasn’t a big celebration. Gail’s family was not there because they had spent the previous night at the hospital with his mother. She was dying from cirrhosis and would be gone 2 weeks later.
We only made it to 4 years. Gail died from cancer in July 2001. He’s been gone longer than we were together.
Andy will be 13 in just over a month.
